The world of professional golf is undergoing a significant transformation with the launch of PGA TOUR Americas, a new platform that unites the top talent from Latin America, Canada, and the United States. This tour, which merges the best of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica and PGA TOUR Canada, now serves as the main pathway to the Korn Ferry Tour—the final step before reaching the prestigious PGA TOUR.
The 2025 season features 16 events across the continent, where top golfers compete for points that could propel them into the global golf spotlight. Beyond raising the competitive standard, PGA TOUR Americas strengthens the sense of community throughout the golf world across the hemisphere.

El Rincón de Cajicá: A Stage of Excellence for the PGA TOUR
This year, Colombia hosts one of the tour’s most anticipated stops at the renowned Club El Rincón de Cajicá, a historic course designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1957. Known for hosting major tournaments such as the Colombia Open, PGA Latinoamérica, and the World Cup, this course is consistently ranked among the best in the world.
Its natural surroundings, technical demands, and rich competitive legacy make it the perfect venue for welcoming international players competing for a place at the top of the Fortinet Cup standings—the official ranking of PGA TOUR Americas.
Panamanian Pride at the PGA TOUR Americas
As part of this prestigious international event, Tucán Country Club & Tucán Golf Panamá is proud to be the only Panamanian company participating in this year’s edition of the PGA TOUR Americas. Our involvement reaffirms our commitment to sport, high-quality tourism, and a lifestyle that blends nature, elegance, and excellence.
Our team includes Stephen Stark, a PGA-certified Director of Golf from England; Yeisa Rivera, our Commercial Manager; and the undersigned, Commercial Representative for Colombia. Together, we are showcasing to the world the essence of Tucán: a premier golf destination supported by a vibrant, multicultural community dedicated to sustainable development.
Pro-Am Tournament: Golf, Camaraderie, and Recognition
On May 21st, the Pro-Am tournament offered a unique day where professionals and amateurs shared the course in a spirit of camaraderie, mutual respect, and high-level competition. During lunch, an awards ceremony was held for the amateur players, where Tucán Country Club & Tucán Golf Panamá presented special prizes as a gesture of appreciation for their support of the sport.

Tucán Is More Than Golf—It’s a Complete Experience
Throughout the five days of the tournament, we’ve been meeting with visitors interested in discovering the lifestyle that Tucán offers. In addition to our institutional presence, we organized special events such as a talk by a sports psychologist specializing in golf, focused on enhancing mental performance and concentration on the course.
This Friday, we’ll also be joined by Raúl Leis, a Panamanian attorney specializing in immigration and investment, who will provide insights into residency options, investment opportunities, and quality of life in Panama—within the exclusive environment of our club.
Golf Clubs from Panama Join the PGA TOUR Americas
We are also pleased to welcome members from various Panamanian golf clubs who have traveled to Colombia to join us and experience the event firsthand. Their presence strengthens the unity of Panama’s golf community and reflects our shared passion for growing the game together.
Ron Abuelo: A Taste of Panama on the Global Stage
We are proud to be supported by Ron Abuelo, a premium Panamanian rum brand serving as a cultural ambassador at this international event. Their presence brings a taste of Panama’s tradition and hospitality to the PGA TOUR Americas.
Panama, Golf, and the Future
At Tucán Country Club & Golf Panamá, we believe golf is more than just a sport—it’s a way of life, a philosophy of discipline, focus, and respect. Being part of the PGA TOUR Americas fills us with pride and motivates us to continue building a legacy that combines sport with human and social development.
